In the early 70’s there was a tremendous surge in the usage of hydraulic cylinders by the agricultural sector.  This stretched existing cylinder manufacturing companies beyond their capabilities and Pneu-Hyd was formed to fill the growing demand in the North American market.  Initially, we specialized in cylinder design, and the manufacturing of cylinders was contracted out to a third party, but on July 1, 1976 we took over full cylinder production in a 5000sq.ft. plant in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Our market remained primarily agricultural until the early 1990’s at which point we branched out and broadened our coverage to the industrial sector.  Since then Pneu-Hyd has been the premier manufacturer of welded hydraulic cylinders for virtually every conceivable application from cranes, lift tables and agricultural equipment to an Elephant lift.  We constantly strive to challenge the boundaries of what’s possible and work closely with our customers to ensure that we push our limits to meet your needs.
